This Privacy Policy explains how CoinSaga (“CoinSaga,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit or interact with https://coinsaga.com/ (the “Site”).
CoinSaga is a crypto news, information, education, events, tools, and media website. We do not provide cryptocurrency exchange, custody, wallet, betting, or gambling services, and we do not ask visitors to provide private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords.
1. Who is responsible for your information?
CoinSaga is responsible for deciding how and why personal information collected through the Site is processed.
For privacy questions or requests, contact:
Email: [email protected]
Website: https://coinsaga.com/
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect the following categories of information.
Information you provide
- Contact information: your name, email address, and the contents of messages submitted through our contact form.
- Newsletter information: your email address, subscription status, sign-up time, consent record, and related delivery or engagement information.
- Other information you choose to provide: information included in correspondence, feedback, event submissions, partnership enquiries, advertising enquiries, or similar communications.
Please do not send us private keys, seed phrases, wallet passwords, financial account credentials, identification documents, or other sensitive information unless we have specifically requested it for a legitimate and clearly explained purpose.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically receive:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- browser, device, operating-system, and language information;
- date and time of access;
- pages viewed, links selected, referring pages, and navigation information;
- cookie identifiers, consent choices, and similar technical identifiers;
- security, diagnostic, error, and server-log information; and
- interactions with analytics tools, embedded media, and Site features.
Information submitted to crypto tools
Some Site tools may allow you to enter public information such as a cryptocurrency amount, token name, public wallet address, transaction identifier, or blockchain domain name. These queries may be transmitted to third-party market-data services, blockchain nodes, remote procedure call providers, or other APIs to return the requested result.
Public wallet addresses, transactions, and blockchain domain records may already be publicly visible on a blockchain. You should never enter a seed phrase, private key, wallet password, or other secret credential into any CoinSaga tool.
3. How and why we use information
We may use personal information for the following purposes:
- to operate, host, maintain, and secure the Site;
- to provide requested Site features and tools;
- to respond to questions, feedback, partnership enquiries, and other messages;
- to send the CoinSaga newsletter and manage subscriptions;
- to understand Site traffic, readership, and performance;
- to diagnose technical problems and prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- to maintain records of consent and privacy choices;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce or defend legal rights; and
- to improve the Site, its content, and its services.
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent: for newsletter marketing, non-essential cookies, and similar technologies where consent is legally required.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and improve the Site, understand aggregate readership, respond to enquiries, prevent abuse, secure our systems, and protect our rights, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Contract or steps requested before a contract: when you ask us to take steps relating to a potential partnership, advertising arrangement, event listing, or other requested service.
- Legal obligation: when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, court orders, or valid legal requests.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
4. Newsletter and Mailchimp
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use Mailchimp, a service provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC and the Intuit group, to manage subscribers and send emails.
Mailchimp may process your email address, IP address, sign-up time, subscription status, technical delivery information, and—depending on our configuration—information about email opens and link selections. Mailchimp may process information in the United States and other countries.
We use this information on the basis of your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or emailing [email protected]. After unsubscribing, limited information may be retained on a suppression list so that we can respect your request and avoid sending further marketing emails.
Mailchimp’s privacy practices are described in the Intuit Global Privacy Statement.
5. Contact form
When you use our contact form, the name, email address, message, submission time, IP address, and related technical information may be processed through WordPress and stored on our hosting infrastructure. Google reCAPTCHA may also process technical information to identify and prevent spam and automated abuse.
We use contact-form information to read, manage, and respond to your enquiry; protect the Site; and keep appropriate business records. Depending on the nature of your request, the legal basis is our legitimate interests or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
6. Analytics and similar technologies
Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the Site. Google Analytics may collect pseudonymous information about page views, interactions, devices, browsers, operating systems, approximate location, referrers, and traffic sources. Google Tag Manager helps us deploy and manage Site tags; the services activated through it may collect information as described in this Policy.
Where legally required, Google Analytics and other non-essential technologies should be activated only after you give consent. You may withdraw or change consent through the Site’s cookie-consent controls when available and may also restrict cookies through your browser settings.
Google explains how Google Analytics works in its Analytics documentation and describes its wider practices in the Google Privacy Policy.
Ahrefs Web Analytics
The Site also uses Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate Site usage. According to Ahrefs, its web-analytics service is cookie-free and does not collect personal data by default. Information about this service is available in Ahrefs’ Web Analytics documentation.
7. Cookies and consent
Cookies are small files placed on a device. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and software development tools.
The Site may use:
- Strictly necessary technologies required for security, network management, consent recording, forms, and core Site operation.
- Analytics technologies used to measure audience and Site performance.
- Newsletter technologies used to manage subscriptions and, where enabled, measure email delivery and engagement.
- Embedded-content technologies used by external platforms when displaying videos, posts, or other media.
Where applicable law requires consent, we will request it before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. Refusing non-essential technologies should not prevent access to the Site’s basic content, although some embedded features may remain unavailable.
You can manage cookies through your browser. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect some features. Google provides additional information in its cookie documentation.
8. Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect forms from spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA may collect IP address, device and browser information, interaction data, cookies, and other technical signals and send them to Google for analysis.
Our basis for using reCAPTCHA is our legitimate interest in protecting the Site and its users. Where applicable law requires consent for associated non-essential technologies, we will request consent before activating them. Google’s processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and applicable Google terms.
9. Embedded content and external platforms
Articles and pages may include content from third parties, particularly X and YouTube. Embedded content can behave as if you visited the third party directly. The provider may receive your IP address, device and browser information, the page you visited, cookies, and information about your interactions. If you are logged in to the third-party service, the provider may associate the interaction with your account.
Where required, embedded content should remain blocked until you consent to the relevant technologies. You can review the providers’ policies here:
The Site also links to third-party websites and social platforms. We do not control their services or privacy practices, and their own terms and policies apply when you leave CoinSaga.
10. Hosting and service providers
The Site is hosted using infrastructure provided by Hetzner Online GmbH. Hetzner may process server logs, IP addresses, requests, and other technical information needed to deliver and secure the Site. Hetzner’s information is available in its Data Privacy Policy.
We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us host, secure, maintain, analyse, and communicate through the Site. These may include:
- Hetzner for hosting and infrastructure;
- Mailchimp and Intuit group companies for newsletter delivery and management;
- Google for analytics, tag management, reCAPTCHA, and YouTube content;
- Ahrefs for aggregate web analytics;
- X for embedded posts or media;
- WordPress and Site plugins used to operate forms and Site functions;
- market-data providers, blockchain nodes, RPC providers, and APIs used by Site tools; and
- professional advisers or other vendors where reasonably necessary.
Service providers may process information only for the relevant service, under their own legal obligations and applicable agreements.
We may also disclose information when required by law; to respond to lawful requests; to protect users, the public, or our rights; to investigate fraud or security incidents; or in connection with a merger, reorganisation, financing, or transfer of the Site or its assets. If ownership changes, personal information may be transferred subject to applicable law and this Policy or an updated notice.
11. Advertising, sponsorships, and affiliate links
CoinSaga may publish sponsored content, promotional material, advertisements, or links to third-party products and services. We do not currently earn commissions from affiliate links.
If we introduce affiliate programmes in the future, relevant links or content will be appropriately disclosed. Clicking an external or affiliate link may allow the destination provider or affiliate platform to receive technical information and recognise that the visit originated from CoinSaga. We will update this Policy and provide any legally required choices before introducing materially different tracking or targeted-advertising practices.
12. No sale of personal information
CoinSaga does not sell personal information. We do not currently use personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any notice or opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
13. International transfers
Some providers, including Mailchimp, Google, X, and their affiliates or subprocessors, may process information outside your country, including in the United States. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
Where legally required, international transfers will rely on an applicable adequacy decision, participation in a recognised data-transfer framework, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful safeguard. You may contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your personal information.
14. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including legal, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution requirements. Our general retention periods are:
- Contact enquiries: up to 24 months after the enquiry is resolved.
- Newsletter information: for as long as you remain subscribed. After unsubscribing, a limited suppression record may be retained as necessary to honour your request and comply with law.
- Analytics information controlled by CoinSaga: up to 14 months.
- Security and server logs: normally up to 90 days, unless a longer period is required to investigate an incident, prevent abuse, or comply with law.
Third-party providers may retain information according to their own documented retention periods and legal obligations. We may retain information longer where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. When information is no longer required, we will delete or anonymise it where reasonably practicable.
15. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
CoinSaga will never ask you to disclose a crypto wallet seed phrase or private key. Messages claiming otherwise should be treated as fraudulent.
16. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted-advertising, or profiling activities where applicable;
- receive information about the categories, sources, purposes, and recipients of personal information; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection or privacy authority.
To exercise a right, email [email protected]. Please describe your request and the email address or interaction involved. We may request limited additional information to verify your identity and protect information from unauthorised disclosure. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You will not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights. Some rights are subject to exceptions, and we may retain information where legally permitted or required.
17. Children and age-restricted content
The Site is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. CoinSaga does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Some present or future content may discuss crypto gambling, casinos, sports betting, or prediction markets for informational purposes. Such content is not an offer of gambling services. Visitors are responsible for complying with the age restrictions and laws that apply in their location.
If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.
18. Automated decision-making
CoinSaga does not use personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about visitors. Automated security tools such as reCAPTCHA may assess technical signals to identify spam or abuse, but they are used to protect Site forms and systems.
19. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Site, our providers, our practices, or applicable law. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice or request consent where required.
