Devcon 8 Mumbai tickets are now live, opening the next phase of planning for one of Ethereum’s central community gatherings. The event will take place in Mumbai in November and is being positioned as a focused venue for builders, researchers, maintainers, open-source contributors, designers, and policy-minded participants working around Ethereum and adjacent public-interest technology.
The ticket structure is notable because it is not limited to standard general admission. Organizers have laid out several paths, including discounted access for Indian residents, students, public-goods contributors, core developers, past attendees, and builders connected to Sanctuary Tech.
What Happened
General admission tickets opened on July 14. The current wave lists pricing at $499 in ETH or $999 in fiat, with later waves expected to rise to $599 in ETH or $1,199 in fiat. Alongside general admission, the event includes community and builder pathways designed to lower barriers for groups that are central to Ethereum’s development culture.
Self-claiming community discounts include India resident tickets, public-goods contributor tickets, past POAP holder access, and free tickets for core developers. Student, youth, and builder applications are also open, with review taking place in rolling batches.
Speaker And Community Programs
The ticket announcement also tied into broader programming. Community Hubs are returning, giving groups across Ethereum, open source, privacy, and public-interest technology a way to create focused spaces inside the event. Speaker applications are open as well, covering formats such as lightning talks, full talks, workshops, AMAs, fireside chats, and roundtables.
Applications for speakers close on August 6, 2026, with decisions beginning near the end of August.
Why It Matters
Devcon matters because Ethereum’s roadmap is not only written in code. It is shaped through research meetings, client-team coordination, open-source funding discussions, security work, governance debates, and public conversations between people who build the network and the applications around it.
The Mumbai location is also important. India has a large developer base and an active crypto and payments technology sector. Holding Devcon there can widen participation beyond the usual North American and European conference circuits.
What Comes Next
Devcon 8 Mumbai tickets are not just an event-sales update. They are an early signal of which communities Ethereum is trying to bring into the room as the network enters its next development phase.
