Have a meme idea you want to turn into a token? You can create a memecoin on Solana without writing code or building a blockchain application from scratch. With CoinSaga’s free Solana token creator, you configure your token in a browser and approve its creation through your wallet.
The tool currently displays its service fee as Free. Solana network and account-creation costs still apply, so you will need SOL in your wallet. This guide explains what to prepare, how to use the form, and which settings deserve a second look before you sign.
Can you create a memecoin without coding
Yes. A no-code memecoin creator provides a form for setting up a token, removing the need to write deployment code yourself. You still choose the token’s identity, supply, and permissions.
A memecoin is a token built around a meme, character, joke, or community. On Solana, it can use the same token infrastructure as other fungible assets. Its theme does not require a separate blockchain or a special memecoin standard. Solana’s token documentation explains the underlying token programs.
CoinSaga creates a standard SPL token. The result has a mint address, which identifies your token on the network. Creating it is the technical starting point; building a community and deciding how to distribute it come afterward.
Is it free to create a memecoin on Solana
CoinSaga’s current tool is free of charge. It does not remove the blockchain costs involved in creating a real token.
There are three different parts to consider:
Tool service fee: Currently Free in CoinSaga’s live preview.
Solana costs: Transactions require fees paid in SOL. Creating the token also involves funding on-chain accounts. Your wallet needs enough SOL for the complete process, including any selected follow-up transactions.
Later launch costs: A website, promotion, distribution transactions, or a separate liquidity setup may involve additional spending. They are outside the token-creation step.
Solana documents both transaction fees and the account creation involved in a token mint. Review the amounts shown during creation instead of relying on a fixed dollar estimate.
What you need before you start
Prepare a Solana wallet supported by the tool and enough SOL for the applicable blockchain costs. The current form uses Solana Mainnet, meaning the token and transactions are real.
Decide on a name, symbol, initial supply, and short description. Prepare a square logo, plus your project website if you have one. Keep the same spelling and branding across the token and your community pages.
Write down how you intend to distribute the supply before you create it. For example, distinguish the amount reserved for community activities from any creator allocation. This makes the supply decision easier to explain later.
How to create a memecoin on Solana with no code
Step 1 Open CoinSaga and connect your wallet
Visit the Solana Token Creator and select Connect wallet. Choose a supported wallet and review the connection request.
Check that you are on the correct CoinSaga website. Keep your seed phrase and private keys private; the creation flow uses wallet approvals rather than asking you to paste those secrets into a form.
Step 2 Give your memecoin a name and identity
Complete the Token identity section. The current form accepts a token name of up to 32 UTF-8 bytes and a symbol containing 2–10 letters or numbers. It also includes a description field with a 500-character counter and an optional project website.
Choose a name people can remember and a symbol they can type easily. Describe the project’s theme plainly. Avoid presenting another project’s identity as your own or adding promises about future price increases.
For an illustrative concept called Moon Biscuit, a description could read: “A community memecoin inspired by late-night snacks and space memes.” This is a fictional writing example, not a token recommendation.
Upload a square, static PNG, JPG, or WebP logo. The current upload requirements are 64–2048 pixels and a maximum file size of 2 MB.

Step 3 Set the initial supply and decimals
Under Supply and authorities, enter your Initial supply. CoinSaga describes this as the number of whole tokens minted to your wallet. The prefilled value is 1,000,000,000; treat it as a starting value to review, not a recommendation for your project.
Choose the number of Decimals, which controls how finely each token can be divided. The current options are 9, 6, 2, and 0. For example, 2 decimals allo
ws amounts such as 1.25 tokens, while 0 makes tokens indivisible.
Decimals do not set a token’s market price. Likewise, creating a larger supply does not create demand. Choose settings that suit how you intend people to use and distribute the token.
Step 4 Review authorities and metadata locking
The form offers three controls with lasting consequences:
Revoke mint authority: Removes the ability to mint additional tokens in the future.
Revoke freeze authority: Removes the authority’s ability to freeze token accounts.
Lock metadata: Makes the name, symbol, and metadata URI immutable according to the tool’s description.
The current form has mint and freeze authority revocation selected by default; metadata locking is unselected. Review each choice against your plans. Solana’s authority documentation explains that setting an authority to none permanently removes that role.
If you intend a fixed supply, understand how removing mint authority enforces that decision. If you lock metadata, check the spelling and linked information first. These controls describe specific permissions; they do not guarantee a token’s quality or value.

Step 5 Review the preview and approve creation
Check the live preview against your intended supply, decimals, network, and service fee. Read the acknowledgments and linked terms, privacy notice, and risk disclosure. Complete the required confirmations and human verification when you are ready.
Select Create token on Solana Mainnet and review each request in your wallet. The tool describes a sequence that prepares metadata, creates the mint and initial supply, and requests additional authority revocations when selected. More than one approval may be necessary.
Check the transaction details and SOL costs before signing. If a step fails, inspect the transaction status before starting again: an earlier step may have completed and incurred costs.
Step 6 Verify your token and save its mint address
After completion, use the displayed mint address and explorer links to inspect your token. Confirm the supply, decimals, and authority settings against your choices. Check that the token balance reached the intended wallet.
Save the mint address and use it consistently when identifying your project. Names and symbols can be reused by unrelated tokens; the mint address is the unique identifier.
Common mistakes to avoid when creating your memecoin
Accepting defaults without checking them. Count the zeros in your supply and review the selected authorities. A default can be convenient without being right for your plans.
Locking details before proofreading. Review your name, symbol, description, website, and logo together before making metadata immutable.
Budgeting only for the service fee. Free software still involves real blockchain transactions. Keep enough SOL available for the complete sequence you select.
Treating creation as a complete launch. A token in your wallet does not establish public demand, a trading market, or an exchange listing. Plan those next steps separately.
What happens after you create your memecoin
Publish the correct mint address through your official community channels and explain the distribution plan. Be clear about creator holdings and any permissions you retain. Give people a consistent place to find project information and updates.
If public trading is part of your plan, investigate compatible trading venues and their current requirements. A liquidity pool generally needs both your token and another asset, so it involves decisions and resources beyond creating the token. CoinSaga’s creation result should not be treated as confirmation of a listing.
You can also create tokens on Ethereum. CoinSaga’s Ethereum Token Creator provides a separate route for ERC-20 tokens. Choose the network that fits the wallets and applications your community intends to use.
